A Note from the Director
The Fly Fishing Show welcomes you back to Pleasanton, and the largest of all Fly Fishing Shows on the west coast. This year we are excited about new exhibitors, celebrities, an expanded tiers aisle, and extra show buildings for our most popular seminars. Everyone knows about the state of the economy, but it’s time to enjoy the show and put your bad news under a cover. When you walk through our doors it’s all about camaraderie, sharing, and fun for the sport we enjoy, fly fishing. We have a great lineup of celebrities to talk about what’s new and where to go for great fly fishing. Our fly tier’s aisle is always packed and should be, since we have some of the best tiers demonstrating every day of the show. The exhibits are loaded with the latest rods, reels, and gear for all aspects of fly fishing, both fresh and salt. Conservation groups are an important support pillar for our show and sport. If you don’t belong to any, now is the time to see what they do for all of us. F.F.F. is sponsoring a new and active instructional area for beginners and others who need any help at all with their fly fishing and tying. We all know how important casting is for fishing success. Our instructors are the best and their pond demos are worth the price of admission alone. Meet your favorite authors and browse through every book and DVD you’ll ever see in one place. Test all the new rods at our ponds, pick the tiers brains, and just have a fun time, and don’t forget about our special classes for an opportunity to join a world class celebrity instructor in a private session. Check out the brochure for available classes. Each year we work hard to improve the show. Your support makes it happen and let us know your opinions about how it can get even better. Have a great time and bring a friend. Look forward to seeing you. Chuck Furimsky Director |
